A lot of people will have been waiting for this one; some will be perfectly happy with the results, some not so.Gorasul Legacy of the Dragons is another RPG along a very similar line to the Baldur's Gate series. In fact the first thing that will strike you is just how similar it is. The backgrounds are as lush as those of BG but unfortunately the character animation leaves a substantial amount to be desired. There are some neat features such as a weapon which has its own level system to go alongside your characters and the Dragon abilities (bestowed to you by your adopted father) that cut in when you are in real trouble and save you just as you think you've no chance against the latest demon to stand in your way.
Be warned however, that you will need a good Internet connection to obtain a fair-sized patch (a good few Mb) for the game before it becomes even close to playable. Playing without the patch will leave you floundering with terrible German translations and problems such as you character simply not being able to move. Further more, you'll find that some quests are impossible to complete because you won't be given items you need.
If you can manage to get the patch for Gorasul, it is definitely a playable game. The storyline should keep you occupied until the likes of NeverWinter Nights is released and the few remaining minor glitches won't be any more than an irritation.--Andi Flower
